Step 1: Log in and Access the Learning Menu
Parents begin by logging into the Parent Portal and navigating to the home screen. From the home screen, they open the main navigation.
In the menu, they go to the Learning section.

Under Learning, parents will see three options:
Plans – the weekly learning plan created by the center for the child’s specific room
Focus Area – a real-time report showing how often curriculum outcomes have been tagged across learning plans, lessons, activities, and journals, providing a snapshot of the focus placed on each outcome
Progress Reports – periodic assessment reports (typically 2–3 times per year) completed by childcare staff and visible to parents only after grades are certified and approved by an administrator
Step 2: View Weekly Learning Plans
Parents select Plans to open the weekly learning plan view.
On a mobile device, the Plans view displays all certified plans available for the child, as long as the parent has access to that group. The plan will automatically default to today’s date.

Parents can change the displayed plan by toggling to a different date if needed.
They can scroll through the plan to review all scheduled activities and routines. Each item displays its activity and routine category, helping parents understand the structure of their child’s day and see the variety of learning experiences offered at the center. This helps keep parents informed and highlights the center's daily efforts. If the activities have a scheduled time, they will display from earliest to latest in the day.
For more detail on a specific activity, parents can open it for additional information.
Step 3: Review the Focus Area Report
Parents return to the main menu to access additional learning information.
They select Focus Area to open the Focus Area report. This report lists all focus areas configured by the center. For each focus area, an icon shows how many times that area and its associated learning outcomes have been tagged in journal entries or weekly plans. Over time, these counts increase, giving parents a clear view of how often different curriculum outcomes are addressed and demonstrating how consistently the center teaches and reinforces the curriculum.

Note that for tags that are in weekly plans, the number will only increase if the child was in attendance that day.
Step 4: Access and Explore Progress Reports
From the menu, parents select Progress Reports.
Progress Reports are formal assessments, typically completed a few times per year. Parents only see assessments that have been certified by an administrator.
When viewing the progress report, parents can optionally select a date range to filter the assessments they wish to see; if no date range is selected, all available certified assessments are displayed.

In the report, parents can scroll to see:
The curriculum
Domains and focus areas
Each specific learning outcome
The latest assessment for each outcome, including any comments left by the teacher.
