How to Use Instant Messaging- Parent Edition

Learn how to use the parent portal’s instant messaging feature for communicating with your child’s daycare. Depending on the center’s settings, you will be able to contact both room teachers and admin, or only admin.

1: Open the Messages Area

Click the Messages icon at the bottom of your screen to access the messaging area.

If device notifications are enabled in your profile settings, you’ll get alerts when new messages arrive.

Step 2: Review Recent Conversations and Announcements

View your recent conversations with room teachers (if enabled by the center), with admin or view announcements by pressing the applicable header at the top of the screen.

Note: Announcements are used to broadcast updates to multiple parents all at once. Please note that parents cannot reply to these broadcasts.

Step 3: Send a New Message

Type your message in the text field and click the green arrow icon to send.
